About Carla Gusek

I grew up in Alberta and have lived in Toronto since 2010. I have an industrial design background and have worked in the design industry, mainly with architects and designers as a sales rep for natural materials. Working with colour is a focus in my career, and I am exposed to many inspiring tones and shades that find their way onto my palette most often, subconsciously. The process of painting and mixing colour, is therapy for me, letting whatever I'm feeling in that moment guide the painting process. I am a vivid dreamer where much of my dream analysis also happens on canvas.
